Pixie moved into her new home this morning. She is now living in Massachuestts with her new mom and dad, Pat and Dick. They said they felt very blessed to get Pixie. (“How could anyone in their right mind give her up?” they asked.)

Pixie did amazingly well, and so did I! While Pat, Dick and I were talking, she explored the
house very confidently. She didn’t act timid with them at all. When it was time for me to leave, I had them go into the kitchen with her, and I just left through the front door without her seeing me go.

She was a difficult one to give up. I got as attached to Pixie as she got to me. She is so loving and darling, but she deserves as much one-on-one attention as she can get, and she will get a lot more of it with them than here.

I feel very blessed to have been able to take care of her for the past 5 weeks. Pat and Dick have a real treasure in Pixie.

Sandi — Some fosters are particularly hard to say Goodbye to, and Pixie was one of those for you. You have the comfort of knowing that she is in the best situation for her, as a treasured and cherished companion, and getting all the attention she needs and loves. It’s all about the dogs, but boy… it can sure be tough to let go! Pixie and her new “servants” look so happy; long may she decorate their clothes with dog hair!

    Sandi Prince updates:

“Last night we had dinner with Dickens and his family.(As a reminder, [Pixie's brother] Dickens was adopted by good friends of ours.) It was wonderful to see him, and I’m so thrilled that I can see him whenever I want!

“Dickens gave me quite an exhuberant greeting, which melted my heart. He is right at home with them and their other Cavalier, Yo. Dickens and Yo act as if they have been best buddies forever.

“I spoke with Pixie’s mom, Pat, on Sunday evening. Pixie is also doing well, and they are thrilled with their little princess. Pat did tell me that after I left last Wed. Pixie cried and searched the house for
about 2 hours, so she was a little concerned for a bit. But all of a sudden a light bulb went off in Pixie’s head and she realized there was another nice lady present, and all is well. Pat is mommy now. It is so great how much attention Pixie is getting. They love how spunky and curious she is.

“From being voted out of their house to being adopted by families who feel as if they have won the equilivant of canine powerball, Dickens and Pixie are
two very loved and appreciated little dogs. I couldn’t
ask for a happier ending for either one of them.”
